Lied Center for Performing Arts: Creative Campus Project 2007-2009.
The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln was awarded a prestigious Creative Campus Innovations Grant from the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, with funds from Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, in 2007 to support a two-year collaborative process, focusing on integrating the arts in the local community and on the UNL campus. Arts In Schools
Our Arts in Schoolsprogram focuses on bringing the arts into schools, through professional development opportunities for teachers and Teaching Artists, as well as accessible student matinee performances and teacher guides.
Arts Across Nebraska
This program brings performing arts to other parts of the state, including performances, master classes and Teaching artist residencies in communities across Nebraska.
Lied Innovations
The Lied Innovationprogram includes projects such as Generation Jazz, Creative Campus, Immersion Projects, and the Lied's visual arts program, Studio for Students.
Performance Plus
This program is all about enhancing the performance experience for our audience members. Through pre-and post-performance talks, FamFest parties, venue tours, free tickets for deserving children, and community engagement activities, the Lied maximizes the benefits of the performing arts for everyone.
Campus Connections
The Campus Connections program includes master classes and extended residencies delivered by artists performing on the Lied stages, as well as activities such as open rehearsals, symposiums and "meet and greets".
IAS / Lied Collaboration
The Lied Center and the newly established Interdisciplinary Arts Symposium in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts at UNL are joining forces to deliver exciting opportunities for enjoying and learning about the arts! Activities include free lectures, performances and discussions with world-class artists and scholars.
