A large part of the success of each event is due to the dedicated service of our ushers. Our beloved ranks of volunteers hand out programs, help guests find their seats and assist in the smooth execution of each performance. Volunteer ushers often have the opportunity to enjoy the Lied Center's first-rate performances.

Build your résumé, support the arts and see world-class performances. If you’re looking for a way to get involved in the arts on campus, apply to become a member of the student volunteer usher corps. As a Student LIEDer, you will have the opportunity to greet patrons, take tickets, distribute programs, provide aid in emergency situations and seat patrons in the theater. This is your chance to get involved and make a difference at the Lied.

  • Must be current college student
  • Must attend orientation
  • Must commit to usher for at least six events between September and May

New Student LIEDers are selected during the summer and are trained during the month of August for the upcoming season. Complete the application form found below in the "Downloads" section and return it to Applications are accepted all year round.
