LSO: Rach 'N' Bartok

LSO’s season finale blasts the roof with two orchestral blockbusters, opening with Bartók’s famous Concerto for Orchestra, with its virtuosic treatment of the more than 70 instruments onstage. After intermission, LSO audience favorite Mark Markham returns to rock the house with Rachmaninoff’s brilliant, flashing—and fiendishly difficult—Third Piano Concerto.
