Featuring Idina Menzel, “Matilda the Musical,” Twyla Tharp, Itzhak Perlman, Boston Pops and Buddy Guy

The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska—Lincoln proudly announces another stellar season highlighting the greatest artists in the world in every art form, beginning Sept. 30 with Broadway, film and television superstar, Idina Menzel (tickets available early June). Tickets to all other performances will be available as part of a season ticket package beginning May 12 at 11 a.m.

The Glenn Korff Broadway Series highlights the Lied Center’s 16/17 season with top Broadway musicals including “Once,” Rogers + Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” “Into The Woods,” “Mamma Mia,” “Defying Gravity” Starring Stephen Schwartz and six performances of Roald Dahl’s “Matilda the Musical” to close the Lied Center’s season.

The Lied Center will also showcase some of the greatest popular music and comedy acts touring the U.S. including country music star Clint Black, blues legend Buddy Guy, comedian Brian Regan, a holiday concert featuring Mannheim Steamroller Christmas by Chip Davis and just in time for election season, The Capitol Steps.

Ticket Information

A season ticket package is an order of four or more events. Members of the general public will receive a 10% discount for season ticket orders including four to seven events. Orders of eight or more events will receive a 20% discount. UNL students can place season ticket orders for three to five events and receive a 10% discount or six or more events at a 20% discount (in addition to the 50% discount all current UNL students receive on Lied Center tickets).

If the performances are not sold-out through season ticket orders, any remaining tickets will be available for single ticket purchase starting August 16. Season ticket orders can be placed online at LiedCenter.org, by phone at 402-472-4747, or in person at the Lied Center Box Office, 301 N 12th St.

Tickets for Idina Menzel’s concert will be available starting early June as part of a Broadway Fan Club season ticket order. Patrons who are Broadway Fan Club members (order tickets to at least three Broadway performances as part of their season ticket order) will gain first access to tickets to Menzel’s concert. Any remaining tickets will be available for purchase individually starting in July.
