Help raise funds for arts education by attending the Table Inspirations event at the Lied Center March 21-22, 2017, sponsored by the Friends of Lied. View 31 creatively decorated tables assembled by Nebraska interior designers and business owners. The featured speaker for the event is Ty Leslie from Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Rex Cadwallader, a jazz pianist, composer and educator with strong Nebraska ties, will provide the music.
On March 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. experience the beauty of the tables along with great conversation at the Cocktail Party “Snackin’ Southern Style.” Enjoy an evening of music by Rex Cadwallader, along with tasty refreshments and lovely table settings. Cadwallader served as chair of the Performing Arts Department at Greens Farms Academy in Westport, Connecticut; assistant director of Jazz Studies at the University of Texas; and associate director of Jazz Studies at the University of Northern Colorado. He taught at the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, and at Southern Connecticut State University and Neighborhood Music School in New Haven, Connecticut, where he continues to teach jazz piano.
