A former student of Augusto Boal, she is an experienced non-traditional arts educator of 20 years, and founder of The Indigenous Collective of Theater and Art.

Rocha uses theater as a tool for empowerment to give all ages the opportunity to express themselves in new and dynamic ways. Her workshops are tailored to the specific needs of her audience. By using indigenous forms of storytelling and oral history, she provides a pedagogical experience that allows students to explore and celebrate their knowledge of self and community.
