Dee Cummins

President, Friends of Lied

I grew up in a small Nebraska town where participation was encouraged in school and community events. From piano to flute in the school band, to singing at church and in the school chorus - I tried it all. What a gift to be able to participate. This left me with an awareness of my
somewhat limited capabilities but with a great appreciation for those with talent and for the performing arts.

I have now lived in Lincoln for many years and have had the opportunity to experience many performing arts events in this community. What a gift the Lied has been to me, to our community and to our state. It has allowed many of us the opportunity to enjoy great performances at a world class facility close to the place we call home.

I am honored to serve as President of the Friends of Lied Board of Directors this year. Thank you to those of you who are members of Friends of Lied. If you are not already a member, please join Friends of Lied to help us support the Lied as it continues to provide priceless experiences and memories for the people of Nebraska.
