The Lincoln Youth Symphony joins LSO for a side-by-side performance of Beethoven’s Leonore Overture No. 3. LSO then welcomes Syrian clarinetist Kinan Azmeh and Lebanese violinist Layale Chaker to perform their recently-composed Double Concerto for Clarinet, Violin and Ensemble, co-commissioned by LSO, the Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival, and the New York Philharmonic. After intermission, LSO performs Jean Sibelius’ monumental Symphony No. 2 in D Major.
