Description of Work: 

Coordinate fund raising activities at the Lied Center including individual and corporate support. Actively solicit support from individual, corporate and foundation/grant sources. Responsible for ensuring all benefit fulfillment and recognition for contributions to the Lied Center are provided in a timely manner. This position coordinates most non-Friends of Lied development/fund raising functions (dinners, receptions, meet and greets) and assists in broad donor cultivation. The position is the administrative support staff person for the Lied Center Advisory Board. Responsible for keeping donor database updated with gifts and providing development team with cultivation and donation opportunity ideas. This position compiles and prepares donation materials including processing gifts. Evening and weekend hours required based on events and development schedule needs.

Minimum Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in business, art administration, hospitality or related field; equivalency considered. One year experience in fundraising programs at a recognized organization (incorporated) where $50,000 or more was raised through corporate and/or individual gifts within a 12 month period. Working knowledge of PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software necessary. Superior interpersonal relationship skills and strong communication skills essential.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Master’s degree in business, art administration, hospitality or related field. Experience managing donor data in Tessitura software preferred.
