After opening with Saint-Saëns’s Danse Macabre, LSO is joined by composer and violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) as he solos in his own Voodoo Violin Concerto, tapping into his Haitian roots. Following intermission, LSO performs Antonin Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World,” one of the most popular symphonies ever written, with its famous “Goin’ Home” theme.
