Usher Information

A large part of the success of each Lied Center event is due to the dedicated service of our ushers. Our beloved ranks of volunteers hand out programs, help guests find their seats, and assist in the smooth execution of each performance.

Applicant Requirements:

• Access to the internet for scheduling purposes

• Must provide your own uniform (Black slacks or skirt and white dress style shirt; black, closed-toed dress shoes)

• Willing to commit to at least one year

• Willing to usher for at least 14 events per season (must find a substitute if you are unable to make an assigned event)

• Must usher for at least 5 events per season from a list of special events which may include lectures, dance recitals, graduations, and other non-performing arts events

Volunteer for the Friends of Lied Board of Directors

The purpose of the Friends of Lied shall be to support the development of the Lied Center for Performing Arts-Nebraska through projects providing education, fundraising, social activities and service.

INTERESTED IN JOINING THE BOARD? 

If you would like to nominate yourself, or someone you know, for a position on the Friends of Lied board, please download, fill out, and return the New Member Commitment Summary & Nomination Form above to Amy Ossian at aossian2@unl.edu. Nomination forms will be reviewed by the current board of directors at the beginning of each calendar year and prospective board members will be notified after the March board meeting. New board members will begin their positions in May of each year.
