Critically acclaimed pianist Mark Clinton has received accolades for his inspiring performances in venues around the world from Paris to Sydney to New York.  His concert activities as a soloist, a chamber musician, and a collaborative artist reflect his commitment to musical diversity and to a wide range of performing experiences.  Clinton also is in great demand as an adjudicator at major national and international piano competitions, and he frequently works in masterclasses with outstanding young pianists from around the world.  He currently resides in Lincoln, Nebraska where he has served as Hixson-Lied Professor of Piano and Head of the Keyboard Area in the Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for much of the past thirty-one years.  He will be retiring from UNL at the end of this academic year, and this will be his final faculty recital.  Mark Clinton is a Steinway artist.  

The program consists of the following two works:  

Fantasie in C major, Op. 17                                     Robert Schumann

Sonata in F minor, Op. 57 (“Appassionata”)              Ludwig van Beethoven
