Fanfares & Anton

Fanfares & Anton

The full forces of LSO’s brass section take center stage to usher in Lincoln favorite, Concertmaster Anton Miller. A season finale like no other begins with Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, followed by Henri Tomasi’s fiery Fanfares Liturgiques, a 20th-century powerhouse inspired by the medieval sacred style. After the boisterous introduction, Miller joins the orchestra to perform Tchaikovsky’s mesmerizing—and fiendishly virtuosic—Violin Concerto.
