LINCOLN'S SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA STRAVINSKY, STILL & WHITE

The virtuosity and versatility of the flute will be on full display as LSO’s Principal Flute John Bailey begins the evening with works by Daniel Dorff and Kent Kennan. LSO is also thrilled to showcase its first Composer-in-Residence, Dr. Tyler G. White, with a performance of A Brand-New Summer, originally composed for LSO in 2006. After intermission, the Lincoln Youth Symphony joins LSO for a side-by-side performance of William Grant Still’s Festive Overture, and the evening concludes with a suite from Stravinsky’s Firebird.

In compliance with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra policies, every audience member ages 12 and over must provide proof of vaccination or proof of a negative test taken within the previous 72 hours, prior to being admitted to the venue.
