St. Louis Symphony Orchestra

Continuing the Lied Center’s partnership with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Music Director Stéphane Denève returns to Lincoln joined by superstar pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet to perform Gershwin’s Concerto in F!

The program also includes American composer James Lee III’s Chuphshah! Harriet's Drive to Canaan exploring the joys, sorrows, and triumphs of Harriet Tubman’s life. Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 3, written in exile from his beloved Russia, balances melancholy with exuberance, prayer with triumph and closes this “must-see” concert.
