Welcome to another spectacular season of music, theater, dance, and more at the Lied Center!

      You’re invited!

JOIN US FOR ONE OF THE LIED’S MOST ENTERTAINING SEASONS IN HISTORY

Opportunities to have the time of your life have never been so abundant in Lincoln, Nebraska. Headlining the season is the return of Hamilton, the most popular performing arts event in Lancaster County history. The season kicks off with Yächtley Crëw, the number one yacht rock band in the world. We have The Temptations with Otis WilliamsWynton Marsalis, techno spectacular Lumia, stars of the original cast of Rent Adam Pascal & Anthony RappMark Twain Tonight!, the world’s top Queen celebration, Mamma Mia!SHUCKEDClueRiverdanceTrombone Shorty, a celebration of Elton John & Billy Joel, two inspiring holiday shows, and two of the most popular children's shows in the USA. There has never been a better time to enjoy life, escape from the world, and be entertained by the greatest artists in the world.

Beyond the entertainment, this season overflows with exceptional, awe-inspiring performances that a person would normally have to be in NYC, Paris, or London to experience. Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis are the most celebrated jazz artists in the world on their final tour together. We have two of the finest and most distinctive dance companies; Ballet Hispánico will deliver a sensual and artistically magnificent Latin ballet never seen before in Lincoln, and NoGravity, from Italy, will showcase a dance experience where the dancers’ feet appear never to touch the floor. Kodo is one of the finest cultural ensembles of all time. Finally, Isata Kanneh-Mason and Daniil Trifonov are two of the most virtuosic and amazing pianists on earth.

Almost every week you can experience performances that you will cherish forever and talk about for years to come. The presentations I have mentioned are not all of the programs worthy of enthusiastic praise. Please take a deep look at every presentation and watch the artist's videos on our website. I want you to enjoy every opportunity to have the time of your life.

When you order tickets, please consider joining our generous and amazing Friends of Lied to help keep the Lied growing and young people learning from the most distinctive artists on earth. It’s going to be an amazing year. Cheers for good times and great performances!

      LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT

WE ACKNOWLEDGE that the University of Nebraska, with the Lied Center for Performing Arts, is a land-grant institution with campuses and programs on the past, present, and future homelands of the Pawnee, Usni Ponca, Juwere and Nutachi, Umon hon (or Omaha), Dakota, Lakota, Hinono’eino, Kaw, and Tsitsistas and So’taahe Peoples, as well as those of the relocated Ho-Chunk, Nemahahaki, and Báxoje Peoples.

WE ACKNOWLEDGE that this land where the Lied Center currently sits, before it was part of the university, before it was part of the Nebraska State Fairgrounds, was a site of salt gathering and a shared resource of many of the peoples just named. The Lied Center is committed to continuing the practice of gathering and sharing with indigenous people and others.

WE ACKNOWLEDGE that our coming together here does not usurp or counter any past, present, or future claims of Native peoples also to this space and that it behooves us to know whose lands we are about to temporarily share.

Land acknowledgment adapted from a document created in conversation with UNL Native Studies, the Institute of Ethnic Studies, UNITE, and others. For more information or additional resources and support, please reference the following webpage entitled Recognizing the Land at: https://diversity.unl.edu/recognizing-land
